Message from SQWV
Firstly, we would like to extend our thoughts to everyone affected by the global outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Our team is monitoring the situation closely and understands the particular issues that affect people in rural communities. As an organisation we are taking the precautions the Government has advised and working from home where possible.
We are aware that some members are due a physical inspection from our assessment team. We appreciate that the face to face visitation from our assessment team may not be an appropriate or necessary action to take at this time. We are therefore committed to members in that subject to any previous non conformances having been satisfactorily completed, SQWV approval and status will be extended until such times as we can safely make a physical assessment.
It is important that those producing food at this time maintain the highest of standards.

Special Free Pre-Assessment Offer
For estates who are uncertain about what membership and assessment involves, the Board of SQWV have agreed to offer a ‘free pre-assessment’ visit to any estates that would like to know more about the scheme. An SQWV assessor will visit the site to review the larder and deer management processes in relation to the requirements of SQWV standards and advise what, if anything, needs done to become an approved members.
